Game 157: Reds 1 Pirates 0
Written by Pat Lackey on .
A month ago, I probably would've had more to say about this. Homer Bailey no-hit the Pirates and for the 20th straight year, they won't have a winning season. What are we all doing with our lives?
I have a whole lot more to say to this. Come and read my thoughts and post your own at http://pittsburghprosportsforevermemories.com
How can a team that played so hard and looked so good for a large portion of the season look like such a POS in the month of September?
The Bucs are like a bitchy ex-girlfriend. It's not enough that they break your heart, they gotta kick you in the balls on the way out the door.
Again, I'm done with the team until Spring Training. THIS game sums up the last two months. Go Steelers?...
@Andy Coulter Don't look now, but the Steelers might be worse than the Pirates this year. The Pirates will finish at the NFL equivalent of 7-9 or 8-8; based on what we've seen from the Steelers' defense (ranked 28th by Football Outsiders' DVOA, and that sounds about right to me), o-line and very tough schedule, the Steelers are going to struggle to get to 7 wins. And that's before we consider how unlikely it is their quarterback's going to stay in the lineup all season.
At least there's still the Penguins... oh. Right. No hockey this year.
@whygavs I really want to say Fuck This Team. If they can avoid 19 inning games, there may be a chance at .500 next year.
