The Pirates are the first team to 50 wins in all of baseball for the first time since 1960. Here are some morning links before Sunday's game post goes up.
Wandy Rodriguez threw his bullpen session yesterday and it did not go well. He's still bothered by the forearm tightness that put him on the disabled list at the beginning of the month and is going to be reevaluated by the medical staff. This all sounds pretty worrisome to me. James McDonald is going to Texas to have his shoulder problems evaluated after his rehab starts went really poorly. It's too early to say anything about either injury, but we should know more soon. Gerrit Cole probably isn't going anywhere for a while.

I liked these Clint Hurdle quotes from yesterday.
Sorry broke off my thoughts.
Pat, I really enjoy your sight. It is the first window I open in the morning and the last before I retire.
Here is my answer to our right field dilemma.
On a one year contract with the team that originally drafted him. Playing like a 31 year old, not 41.
Brings a left handed bat with power and plays a serviceable right field.
Is familiar with national league pitching. Has post season experience. Work ethic and dedication unquestionable. And is a plus plus in the locker room.
Seattle is barely treading water in the al west. He would come cheaply. Maybe a tony Watson and prospects or draft picks.
I like tony, but I also love your idea of Morton to the pen. He could eat up what sons innings.
Ibanez might be had for C grade prospects and draft picks.
What do you think?
