It’s funny how quickly a slow start out of the All-Star break can turn into a winning streak

The Pirates put their three-game winning streak on the line against old friend Carlos Zambrano in front of what’s likely to be another big crowd at PNC Park. Zambrano has not been very good lately and opponents are slugging almost .500 against him in his last seven starts. The pirates have had pretty good success against pitchers like this lately. AJ Burnett goes for the Pirates, trying to bounce back from taking his first loss since May in his last start. First pitch is at 7:05.

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
