Drawing the line

A bad week can only be erased one game at a time and you can’t start truly erasing until you actually get around to winning a game. Despite last night’s frustration, the Cubs are still the Cubs and with Randy Wells on the mound tonight, I think that it’s time for the Pirates’ offense to break out in a big way. There’s no logical reason that Kevin Correia can’t make a half decent start at PNC Park every once in a while, so hey, why can’t tonight be the night these two things come together?

(Shhh. I’m trying to be positive. Everyone’s down in the dumps about this team enough already, so I’ll be the positive guy for now.)

First pitch tonight is at 7:05. I hear Joel Hanrahan is well-rested.

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
