Plugging away

Erik Bedard will take the mound tonight in hopes of finally getting enough offense to win a game. He’s currently 0-4 despite a 2.64 ERA. It’s hard to see any reason why things might change tonight, though I suppose facing Randall Delgado could give the Pirates some hope since his control has been pretty spotty and he’s had some rough starts this year.

I’ll be out in Durham tonight to get a look at Starling Marte since Indianapolis is in town. That game starts at 5:05, so I’ll probably be able to catch the end of the Pirates game, should the Pirates decide to make it worth my time. The Pirates and Braves start at 7:10 tonight.

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
