Trying to get one

The Pirates are 0-5 against the Astros this year. I understand that the Pirates aren’t exactly the world’s best baseball team, but neither are the Astros and to be honest, 0-5 is pretty surprising. This afternoon, Ross Ohlendorf tries to simultaneously break that streak and make a second consecutive solid start.

First pitch is at 2:05. Roy Oswalt is on the mound for the Astros. Clemente/Cangelosi is after the jump.

Not sure what this is? Check here and here. Short version: in the comments pick the Pirates you think will be most and least valuable in today’s game. If you haven’t jumped aboard yet, it’s been a lot of fun so far and now’s as good a time as any to join in.

Just made it in before the first pitch!

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
