Grabow and Gorzelanny next to go?

No rest for the weary, apparently. Today the story is the Pirates are shopping John Grabow and Tom Gorzelanny to the Cubs and it sounds pretty serious. ESPN Chicago is reporting that the two teams are “finalizing” a deal. Given Grabow’s status as a potential Type A free agent and Gorzelanny’s nice stint in Triple-A this year, I can’t imagine Huntington’s packaging them together without getting a nice return. As usual, I’ll update this post as necessary.

UPDATE (4:33): All reports (see DK’s original link) say this is just about done. Stay tuned …

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
