I'm going to be at a symposium all day today (The BIG World of Little RNAs!), but there's one link that I had to share; Pirates might look to Pearce for power option.

"Steve Pearce is a viable option, and he has been from day one," Huntington said.

If Craig Wilson was Thor, what's Steve Pearce ... Puck?

I just read Randall Simon is trying out for the Brew Crew. I wonder how many
times his assault charges will be brought up?

If I'm Pearce, I go easy on the Pepsi while I'm in Bradenton. No sense tempting
fate.

Former bucco Dave Roberts dies.

I like S-Pea and all, but he will never reach the level of Thor. (I mean,
hopefully Huntington has more sense, but the legend of Thor is one of a kind
nonetheless.)

Which guy do you think is most worth a look: Eric Hinske, Jonny Gomes, or Emil
Brown?

I'd pick Gomes. He's right-handed, can play all corner positions, is
known for his grit and hustle (Dirty Doug II?) and can hit the ball a mile when
he's healthy. It also doesn't hurt to have a guy who will sprint from right
field to tackle a baserunner who spikes his shortstop. I think Gomes could
become this years' Obi Wan, and hes still only 28.

Viable option? I missed that last year...and didn't they shun him and demote him
back to Triple-A? Yeah, real viable.

Niiiiice...uh, is Dave Littlefield still running the team? Baldelli's out there
at an affordable price for the Pirates and my roomate's team gets him while i
watch the same sit-on-our-hands-while-everyone-else-signs-players shit goes on
ANOTHER YEAR!! I am sooooooo tired of this-why did they not go after
Baldelli??!!! Oh, boy...sometimes I wish I would've been raised in a bigger
sports market. I live in South Florida and got to witness the complete
turn-around by the Miami Dolphins and started getting a little excited until I
read that the Cheapshits let Baldlli get away, and now that turn-around may not
happen. What would the equivalent be to Parcells taking over the Dolphins-who
would the Bill Parcells-type be that would do a similar thing for the Pirates?
Walt Jockety? I am disappointed already and the damn season hasn't even started
yet. Let's just have the Steelers play every week even after the NFL is done for
the yea...

Sorry for my spelling-I'm just so pissed I typed fast so I could get my thoughts
out in cyberspace.

uh, they didnt "let him get away."

he just chose to sign with a team
that doesnt stink. and with home he may well win a ring.

Farewell Dave Roberts. Anyone who remembers staying up for that 19 inning game
from San Diego in '79 will never forget you.

Nice Alpha Flight reference! Steve Pearce does look like Puck, unfortunately
for him.

For anyone unfamiliar with the smallest member of Canada's #1 superhero team.
